📋About This Project

DriveEasy is a production-ready car rental and fleet management platform built with Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and a Supabase backend. The platform serves both customer-facing rental booking and internal fleet operations management from a single codebase.

Customers browse the full vehicle catalogue with category filtering (sedan, SUV, luxury, van, budget), live availability checking by date range, detailed car pages with photo galleries, specs, pricing per day/week, insurance options, and extras (GPS, child seat, fuel policy). The booking flow is a 3-step wizard: select dates and pickup location, review pricing breakdown, and confirm with personal details and payment — completing in under 2 minutes.

The admin fleet dashboard provides a complete operational view: all vehicles with status indicators (available, rented, maintenance, reserved), a daily booking calendar, customer management with rental history, driver assignment, damage report logging, and a revenue analytics module with daily, weekly, and monthly breakdowns. Automated billing calculates rental duration, applies damage charges if any, and generates PDF receipts.

Key integrations include: Stripe for payments, Resend for booking confirmation emails, Google Maps for pickup/drop-off location selection, and real-time Supabase subscriptions to push availability updates across all active sessions. Built as a white-label product — deployable for any car rental business with custom branding, pricing tiers, and vehicle catalogue in under 48 hours.
