MartPOS — Modern Point of Sale for Marts & Grocery Stores

MartPOS is a production-grade, cloud-synced Point of Sale system built with Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, and Framer Motion — purpose-built for marts, grocery stores, and convenience retailers who need more than a generic checkout screen.

The billing terminal supports fast barcode-driven checkout with live cart totals, multiple payment methods, and instant receipt printing. The Inventory module tracks stock levels with low-stock alerts, while the dedicated Expiry module flags near-date and expired batches — a critical feature for grocery and FMCG retailers that generic POS systems overlook. The Loyalty and Offers modules let shop owners run point-based reward programs and time-bound promotions directly from the dashboard.

Back-office operations are covered end-to-end: Purchases and Vendors manage supplier relationships and stock-in workflows, Returns handles both sale and purchase reversals, Customers tracks ledgers and purchase history, and the Bank module logs deposits and withdrawals. The Day-Close module generates an end-of-shift reconciliation report comparing expected vs. actual cash, while Expenses tracks daily operational costs by category.

A dedicated customer-facing Display screen mirrors the live cart and running total on a second monitor — a feature usually reserved for enterprise POS systems. The Reports dashboard covers sales summaries, profit margins, and top-selling products with date-range filtering. Built as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with offline-ready caching via next-pwa, MartPOS installs like a native app on any till or tablet, with Supabase providing real-time cloud sync across multiple checkout counters.
