SmartPOS Online — Cloud-Sync Web Point of Sale

SmartPOS Online is a production-grade, cloud-connected web-based Point of Sale system designed for retail shops, marts, and cash & carry businesses. Built with Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Supabase as the cloud backend, it delivers the full power of a desktop POS accessible from any device via browser.

The billing terminal features a split-panel layout: the left side handles invoice creation with customer assignment, pay type selection (Cash, Credit, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, Card), item entry with inline discount editing, and live total calculation. The right side is a product panel with category filtering and search — cashiers click to add items instantly.

Cloud sync runs silently in the background via Supabase Realtime — an offline indicator alerts users when the connection drops and queues transactions locally until reconnected. This ensures zero lost sales during internet outages.

The reports dashboard provides daily, weekly, and monthly sales summaries with profit margin analysis, top-selling products, and payment method breakdowns. The settings module handles business configuration, tax rates, receipt branding, and user management with role-based access (Admin, Cashier).

Built as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with service worker caching and a web app manifest — installable on any device as a native-feeling app. Designed as a white-label SaaS: each client gets their own Supabase project for full data isolation.
